My 5 year old son has been bugging his mother and I for a fidget spinner. Since school has started up, he has been pretty insistent since “all the other kids at school have one.” As parents we decided that he could earn one. Then he proved he was the son of a car guy. He said he wanted one that was round. He wanted…
At least it wasn’t my drill bit. No puncture but too much tread/belt damage for comfort. New tire coming tomorrow.
After multiple attempts at aligning the car myself at work, my MR2 still pulled hard to the left. I finally said screw it and had a local race shop dial it in properly. It still pulled. I figured it MUST be something in the tires.
We thought it was cool.
Listen to me Opponauts! Today is a day for the history books! I will embark on a journey of reaching new frontiers never before seen in DIY-Vehicle-Repair-dom in an attempt to fix my Mark VIII’s “leaky airride”(TM) suspension.
Yesterday’s Italian GP, held at beautiful top speed temple Monza, gained momentum about 7 laps before the checkered flag. Nico Rosberg was catching up on Vettel’s Ferrari, promising a Germanic fight for second place, the two Williams in 5th and 4th were getting within DRS distance, and Lewis Hamilton was prompted to…
So, after my recent issue with a damaged tire, I reached out to the builder who is building two homes on my street in hopes for compensation for the approximately $200 I had to shell out to replace a destroyed Conti DWS.
I need new rears for winter (they're just about bald) and somebody is selling used tires. Just for clarification 245/40/19's will fit where 255/35/19's are supposed to go right?
I had a long plane ride yesterday. My brain says it's 6pm. I'm feeling a little toasted, like this tire.
Not bad at all. And while they are at it, can the rear tires become wider again?
We all know F1. Technology, technology, technology and oh, did I mention some more technology? But, is that what F1 is all about? Well, frankly, yes. But let me put it this way: where did the technology take us?
Why Valentina? Because the 991 was delivered on Valentines Day to the Falken team. This particular 991 GTE is the first customer car, before that only the 2 works teams Manthey (for WEC) and Core/Porsche Sport America (TUSC) were in possession of the brand new and blisteringly quick car. Pics are taken from Falken's…
This my friends, is what can happen if you adjust your tyre pressure with cold tyres (even if they're brand new semi-slicks, like in this case) and don't come back in to check it after a couple of laps. Even in a relatively low performance car. Good thing the gravel trap did its job.
Take pics of your wheels and share! If you've got multiple cars, pick your favorite.
